Hi, here is my quit counter, which I wrote when I wanted to give up smoking. I have also included a health check that marks your quitting landmarks with a tick/check. Please feel free to use the script on your site, and if possible provide a link back to this page so that others can use it. It is written in Javascript, and is easy to configure to your own needs. Simply right-click on this page and select "view source". Copy and paste the page into your HTML editor and then follow the commented instructions to configure the page to suit you. So long as all the Javascript is copied into the HEAD of your document, the quit counter form can be placed anywhere within the page.

Since I wrote this script it has been over a year since I gave up smoking. Meanwhile, my firnd Vim has given up smoking, so I have reset the counter to show his achievements instead!

Any queries, please feel free to email me

Good Luck! Claire Simpson
